A rare find of a Taisho period, fuchsia pink silk, yuzen koto (Japanese vertical harp) cover. Yuzen is hand applied textile art. It was hard to capture the colour, it is a lovely strong, deep magenta, with yelllowy cream roundals.

Condition: 
Extremely good - has some foxing on the lower front section -  See photos. Foxing does not weaken the silk, it just gives a patina and is due to long term storage in hot humid conditions, like the Japanese summer. It is a common characteristic on vintage silks.
