This is an unused bolt of cotton fabric, for a yukata kimono. A bolt of kimono fabric is called a tan.
Hand printed cotton bolt, with bamboo design in red and white. Woven and printed to make a yukata kimono, with the design positioned to be in the correct places on the kimono, as depicted on its label which shows a blue version.
The picture showing two, red on white and white on red, is showing both sides of the one bolt, it is not two bolts of fabric.
This is known as a tsukesage-gara yukata bolt, the pattern on the finished kimono is in the layout normally found on a tsukesage type of kimono
