This is an unused bolt of cotton fabric, for a yukata kimono. A bolt of kimono fabric is called a tan.
Hand printed cotton bolt, with chainlink and stripes design in navy blue and white. Woven and printed to make a yukata kimono, with the design positioned to be in the correct places on the kimono, as depicted on its label.
This is known as a tsukesage-gara yukata bolt, the pattern on the finished kimono is in the layout normally found on a tsukesage type of kimono
Made in Japan.
