- A massive, cotton koinobori (carp windsock banner)
- Cotton
- From the early Showa era
- Approximately 345cm (11.3 feet) long and 52cm at widest part. The mouth has a rigid ring around it, as a koinobori is a type of windsock and the wind flows through the open mouth, ausing the banner to flutter in the wind and look as though it is swimming in the air. They are traditionally hung outside in Japan to celebrate Boy's Day.
- Some marks due to age but in very good condition, see photos.
- A hard to find, vintage item
- Would make a fabulous display item for interior design, see last photo for a couple of display options
- Made in Japan
Condition:
Very good - some very minor marks
Measurements:
Approximately 345cm (11.3 feet) long. A photo shows a woman standing at the mouth end to give you a rough size reference
